Visitors and locals are invited to come and enjoy the performing arts and
take part in educational workshops. The unique theater was implemented in 2017 as a response to the scarcity of creative art spaces in the marginalized communities.

In Khayelitsha, musicians, poets, dancers, visual artists and theater practitioners have a second home in Kasi RC where the local community and visitors can be enriched, healed, and uplifted by heartfelt
performances.

The theater is run by award winning actor, director, innovator and theater activist also based in Khayelitsha, Mandisi Sindo.

KASI RC provides performance platforms and a space to 1000’s of artists to gather, practice their art and heal the
community through performances that speaks to the needs
and issues of the communes.

They are inspired to provide skills, opportunities and training sessions for young people whose interest is in the arts and education.

KASI RC is also an independent, multifaceted, high-quality performance & rehearsal space for all.

Catch them at this year’s Afrofest, opening their doors to the public in order to showcase the hidden talents of marginalized communities in Cape Town!
